If you’re interested in building performance, Dan and his team teach a wide range of classes to help contractors, architects, engineers, home design professionals, and homeowners understand how to improve typical California building details to achieve high performance outcomes.
Research
We are regularly engaged to support utilities, builders, engineers and others with real world research assignments on various aspects of building science. This has ranged from the creation of test homes to myriad examples of HVAC performance measurements.
Utility Classes
We teach classes through many of the utility companies in California. These classes are offered free to participants and are supported by the ratepayers of those utility companies. These are great opportunities to learn more about real measured home performance. Learn more about our utility classes here.
Training at National Conferences
We regularly provide all day trainings and workshops at Building Performance Association (formerly Home Performance Coalition and Affordable Comfort ACI) national and regional conferences. These unique classes focus on measurable building performance. We often teach in conjunction with other high quality instructors including Mike MacFarland, Keith O’Hara, Gary Klein and Rick Chitwood.
Private/ Non Profit Courses
We are selectively available to provide contract training services to organizations and associations that want to go beyond the basics of a typical introductory building science course. We specialize in delivering courses based on real world conditions presented by the California building stock. If you would like us to design a custom training to meet your organization’s needs please contact us at 530-477-0695.
